Terms for using HeyLesson
Last updated September 22, 2026
Agreement
These terms govern your use of HeyLesson, the Heyley Companion Chrome extension, and connected integrations. By using the service, you agree to these terms and our Privacy Policy. HeyLesson is operated by the individual developer identified on the Chrome Web Store listing.
Accounts and access
You must provide accurate account information, keep your account secure, and promptly report suspected unauthorized access. You are responsible for activity performed through your account and for ensuring that your use complies with applicable law and any rules imposed by your organization.
Lesson capture and consent
You may capture or upload lesson material only when you have the rights and permissions needed to do so. Before recording a lesson, you must obtain the informed consent of every participant and follow applicable recording, privacy, employment, and education laws. Do not use HeyLesson for covert surveillance or to capture people who have not consented.
Generated materials
HeyLesson uses automated services to transcribe audio and generate lesson-preparation materials. Outputs may contain mistakes or unsuitable suggestions. You must review and adapt them before teaching, sharing, or relying on them. You retain responsibility for your lessons and your use of generated materials.
Canva integration
If you connect Canva, you authorize HeyLesson to create a new Canva design from a lesson pack and retrieve the limited metadata needed to complete that import. You can disconnect Canva at any time. Disconnecting stops future HeyLesson imports but does not delete designs already created in your Canva account. Your use of Canva remains subject to Canva's own terms and policies.
Acceptable use
You must not misuse the service, interfere with its operation, bypass usage or security controls, access another person's data, upload unlawful or malicious material, infringe intellectual-property rights, or use the service to harm, deceive, discriminate against, or unlawfully monitor anyone. We may restrict or suspend access when reasonably necessary to protect users or the service.
Service availability
HeyLesson is currently offered as a beta service. Features, limits, integrations, and availability may change. We work to keep the service reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted operation or that generated output will always be accurate or available. To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided without implied warranties.
Your content and third-party services
You retain ownership of content you provide. You grant HeyLesson permission to process that content only as needed to operate, secure, and improve the requested service and provide support. Connected third-party services process data under their own terms. Our handling of personal data is described in the Privacy Policy.
Ending use and data deletion
You may stop using HeyLesson or disconnect an integration at any time. You may request deletion through our support page. We may retain limited records when reasonably required for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, or resolving disputes.
Liability
To the extent permitted by law, HeyLesson is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary losses arising from use of the service. Nothing in these terms limits rights or liabilities that cannot legally be limited.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms as the service changes. We will update the date on this page and provide appropriate notice for material changes. Questions can be sent to support@heylesson.ai.
